- By David Ngobua @Ngobuadavid

Kano Pillars in-form striker, Junior Lokosa has vehemently refused to disclose the number of goals he wants to score in the ongoing NPFL season.

The former First Bank of Lagos star is leading the goal scorers chart with 11 goals from 13 matches so far played in the season.

He was again on target on Monday to help his club to a 1-1 draw at home against resurgent Niger Tornadoes.

Speaking to Daily Trust yesterday, the striker said he has refused to set goals target because he does not want to put himself under unnecessary pressure.

He said his major concern at the moment is to score as many goals as possible and help his club win the NPFL title.

Lokosa also maintained that he is not going to allow himself be drawn into any rivalry with any striker in the league.

“I am happy with my current form and I want to thank God for everything.

“I have refused to set goals target because I don’t want to put myself under any form of pressure.

“My prayer is for God to keep supplying the goals for me. I know that as long as I keep working hard, the goals will continue to come.

“At the end of the season, we shall how it will be. I am not going to bring pressure on myself,” he said.

Lokosa also thanked his team mates for supporting him as he said there is no way he would play alone and score.

He stressed that Pillars are united so they play for one another.

“I want to specially thank my team mates for providing me with the assists.

“I can’t do it alone. It is team work that is giving us the results,” he said.
