ICPC arraigns Dakingari over N664.3m fraud
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is set to arraign the former governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Saidu Usman Dakingari, over alleged misappropriation of N664.3 million belonging to the state.
Daily Trust gathered that the arraignment expected to be at the High Court in Birnin Kebbi, would be effected through the instrumentality of a bench warrant following several unsuccessful attempts to serve court processes on the former governor.
Dakingari allegedly conspired with the then Commissioner of Finance, Mohammed Bello Tunga and the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Garba Rabiu Kamba to misappropriate public funds for the conduct of the 2015 general election.
The former governor along with some of his supporters recently decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
