DSS arrests Kwankwaso’s aide over alleged plan to attack Kano
Operatives of the Department of State Security Service (DSS) have arrested Dr Yunusa Adamu Dangwani, a former chief of staff to the former Kano State Governor, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Dangwani who also served as the commissioner for Water Resources was arrested in connection with alleged plan by a retired army captain, Umar Abdullahi, to launch attack on Kano.
Abdullahi was earlier arrested by the DSS operatives.
Daily Trust learnt that the former chief of staff was arrested at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) while on his way to Saudi Arabia for a lesser hajj.
When contacted, the spokesperson of Kwankwasiyya Movement, Hajiya Binta Rabi’u Spikin, said she was out of town and could not confirm the authenticity of the arrest.
