Buratai delivers lecture on insurgency at ABU today

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, is expected to deliver a lecture on insurgency in Nigeria at a seminar at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria today.

He would be the guest speaker at the one-day event. The lecture entitled ‘Insurgency in Nigeria: Is the Military Solution the Only Option?’ is put together by the Institute for Development Research and Training (IDR & T), ABU, Zaria.

A statement by the institute’s Director, Professor Hudu Ayuba Abdullahi yesterday, said the lecture was part of the IDR&T seminar series, saying the Vice Chancellor of ABU, Professor Ibrahim Garba, will chair the occasion.

Mrs Elodie Appard, Director IFRA, an Ibadanbased French organization for research in Nigeria, will also be the discussant.
