Zola dreams big

Golfers call him Zola, a name he picked from that Italian football great Gianfranco Zola, but his parents named him Gabriel Joseph.

Zola can beat the golf ball fat, just like the American major winner, John Daly, will do. There is a problem here. Zola has not been winning tourneys because he loses concentration at critical times. But he is home in Kaduna and he believes he can win the Kadinvest that tees off on Tuesday.

“My game is good and I can win this”, Zola said amidst huge laughter. “It’s a big dream trying to win this in my Kaduna base. But I must tell you that thinking of winning is a huge load on my shoulder… a load of pressure. But one thing is certain, I am focused. I could just win this. I believe”.
