How government can raise education standard

To raise the standard of education in the country, the Federal Government should constantly train and retrain teachers to keep up with modern teaching methods, the Principal of Marist College, Yangoji, Rev Ifeanyi Mbaegbu, has said.

Rev Mbaegbu disclosed this when a delegation of the Nigerian Youth Organisati­on took a tour of the school facility in Yankoji.

He said apart from qualified and dedicated the government should also recruiting teachers, increase budgetary allocation­s on education to improve the facilities in the schools.

He also said a challengin­g, broadbased academic curriculum that prepares students for further studies should be adopted.
