Enugu safe for investment – Manufacturers

Manufacturers in Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states under the platform of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) have described Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as “a visionary and pragmatic leader.”

They said he has brought his ingenuity to bear in the effective governance of the state for the overall interest of the people.

The manufacturers said they were impressed with Ugwuanyi’s “unparallel achievements on infrastructure development, peace and security,” adding that “Enugu State is one of the safest states in the country business adjudged reports.”

Speaking on behalf of members of the association when they paid a courtesy visit to the governor at the government house, Enugu, the branch chairman, Chief Alloy Okafor, stated that “Enugu is perhaps the only state you can walk freely without fear of molestation or being way-laid even in the wee hours,” adding that police patrol vehicles moved in almost every street and cranny on hourly basis.

Responding, Governor Ugwuanyi stated that his administration has since inception been striving on how to make Enugu to live and do in, as widely by various State the economic hub of the country. He said his council on the Ease of Doing Business in Enugu State has, in addition to other enabling provisions, encouraged and assisted investors in that direction.

Ugwuanyi also added that the administration has “been doing our best to sustain a conducive environment for businesses to thrive in Enugu State, especially through our massive investment in security and social infrastructure development”.

He thanked the Enugu business community for their support and assured the association of his administration’s readiness towards industrializing the state.
