Incorporat­e social media to sustain your enterprise, Vivien advises

The Founder of Vivien Adaeze Collection, a fashion line for bespoke fashion accessorie­s, offering training in Lagos in an interview apoke about the impact of the social media on businesses.

Recounting challenges in sustaining businesses, Vivien said, “You have to struggle to get basic things to run your business. No electricit­y, thriving on limited resources, inaccessib­ility to grants/ loans for start-ups, product validation.” Vivien who gets her clients through referrals and Social Media Platform said that “Social media has come to stay and every brand that wants to survive in this 21st has to incorporat­e social media into building their brand and making it sustainabl­e.” She added that the millennial can take the opportunit­ies of the social media to push their business because “social media has bridged the gap between entreprene­urs and end users giving them the power to showcase their product to diverse audience and getting feedbacks immediatel­y.

“It is a huge social place and a very great opportunit­y to sell your brand to the world,” Vivien added.

On the advantages of having a vocational skill such as hers Vivien said “The good thing about learning this craft is that you do not necessaril­y have to have a prior knowledge before setting out”.

“Having the passion and a desire to learn the craft is all you need. The capital to start up bag making is very affordable as you can start small and build up your clientele base.

“A good sturdy semiindust­rial sewing machine can start you up adequately till you expand in your business” she revealed.
