Youth developmen­t, my focal point – Presidenti­al aspirant

A United States of America based legal practition­er, Dr. Asukwo Mendie Archibong, has declared his intention to via for the office of the President in the 2019 election, saying youth developmen­t will be his focal point.

At a media in Abuja on Archibong, who conference Wednesday, is also a philanthro­pist, said his intent was to ‘’take Nigeria back’’ on the track to greatness, insisting that Nigerian youth must take Nigeria from the old generation and move it to the digital level.

But he also promised to ensure constant power supply, potable water, robust infrastruc­ture, respect for rule of law, and guarantee a safe and secure country.

Unveiling what he tagged, “10 Point Contract with Nigeria,”Archibong, who is an indigene of Akwa Ibom State, also said he would provide free and functional education, and improved healthcare delivery.

His other points are creating massive jobs for the unemployed as well as ensure restructur­ing of the country, if elected as the President of Nigeria.

On how he intends to end epileptic power supply plaguing the country, he said: “We must diversify our sources of energy to include wind power, solar power, nuclear power, coal, gas turbine and hydro-power.”

On security, he said, “We must focus on building our military. We must focus on building a modern military, not to be used against Nigerians, but a military that will meet the challenges that we face today.
