FRSC marshal holds seminar for school coordinators, patrons
The Gwagwalada unit coordinator of the special marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Alhaji Hassan Abdulyakeen, has organized a one-day seminar for school coordinators/patrons of the Road Safety Club of primary and secondary schools in the area.
Abdulyakeen said the seminar was to educate the students and pupils on the rules and regulations of using roads.
“We believe that this is what we can do, by bringing the teachers together for them to go to the grassroots to sensitize the students and pupils on the use of roads,” he said.
Also speaking, the Gwagwalada unit commander of the FRSC, ACC Sunday O. Attah, said the command was delighted by the effort of the FRSC special marshal in organizing the seminar for school coordinators and patrons.
He noted that the seminar would enhance the students and pupils’ understanding of how to use the road and the dangers involved, saying that the FRSC was an agency that shared responsibility and knowledge for the benefit and safety of the general public.
On his part, the zonal commander of the FRSC in charge of Niger and FCT, Ogaga G. O. Oghene, said he was impressed by the FRSC special marshal’s effort to organize the seminar.
He said involving school coordinators and patrons would afford members of the road safety club across schools in the area to have first hand knowledge on usage of roads.
