Buhari organisation ‘queries’ APC over crises

- By Saawua Terzungwe

The Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) has “queried” the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allowing crises within its fold to fester less than a year to the 2019 general elections.

The BCO also said it had concluded plans to organise a 3-million women and youths rally in Abuja, to showcase the achievements and canvass votes for President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election.

Addressing executive members of the BCO, Market Men and Women Association of Nigeria yesterday in Abuja, the BCO National Co-ordinator, Alhaji Danladi Pasali, said the organisation would do everything legitimate to return Buhari in 2019.

He claimed that there were several plots to tarnish Buhari’s image and frustrate his government, stating that the issue of killer herdsmen was part of the numerous plots to stop Buhari’s reelection. “The change agenda has started and it’s not the time to pocket billions of naira. But corruption is fighting back; the issue of herdsmen is an agenda to destabilise the system,” he said.

The BCO chairman of Board of Trustees (BoT), Engr. Markus Gundiri, however, blamed the APC as a party for getting entangled in internal crisis in a pre-election year.

“The APC has gone into so many problems, I don’t know why. But we are going to campaign for him (Buhari) for the primaries and for his reelection.

“Don’t get tired, there are so many things we need to do; we need to mobilise and reach out to all the voting units of this country,” he said.

Hajiya Folashade Tinubu was honoured at the occasion and presented with a certificate as Women Leader to steer the mobilisation of women for Buhari’s re-election.
