APC leadership: Oshiomhole, Shuaibu campaign group launched

The APC Supporters Group (ASG), a movement that is committed to the election of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Senator Lawal Shuaibu as national chairman and deputy national chairman (North) of the APC, was yesterday launched in Abuja.

The ASG Coordinator, Emmanuel, who journalists in National Okeme briefed Abuja, said the movement decided to pitch its tent with Oshiomhole and Shuaibu because the duo had experience and acceptability within the APC and all the geopolitical zones of the country.

Emmanuel said they possess the right leadership and negotiating skills, integrity, dignity and ability to consolidate the gains of the party.

“They are completely de-tribalised Nigerians who also understand the dynamics of governing a multi-ethnic and religiously sensitive party like APC.

“Considering the latest development in the party, there is urgent need to salvage and rescue it from the vultures. Our great party has come of age and the best persons to lead the party to victory come 2019 are these two gentlemen.

“We will embark on massive grassroots mobilization and campaign with the aim of educating and enlightening the party faithful to align and support their ambition,” he said.

While congratulating the party for the success of its congresses despite skirmishes in some states because of parallel congresses, Emmanuel expressed confidence that all the warring factions would be reconciled.
