Corruption and poor policy response to the yearnings and aspirations of the Nigerian masses, especially in the area of human capital development, have led to deplorable poverty, National Chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Engr. Yabagi Yusuf Sani, has said.

Engr. Sani said this yesterday in Abuja while addressing journalists at the ADP national headquarters on the one year anniversary of the party.

Sani said corruption and poor policy response were the major causes of insecurity of various forms in the country, promising that his party would address the issues when voted into power.

He said the party had developed an economic blueprint anchored on free trade and private sector participation as the core driver of the economy.

The party pledged to implement a new policy on trade and investment that would open up opportunities for local and foreign investors

“When we come to power, we shall change the structure of the economy from its purposeless colonial foundation to a more productive economy.

The ADP national chairman advised that it was more profitable and time-saving to truncate the system that bred corruption, stressing that the party had developed the strategy to engage in total reforms of the bureaucracies to address the challenge.
