Nigeria’s survival depends on youth — Onoja

The President of Next Generation Youth Initiative Internatio­nal (NeGYII), Ambassador Johnson Onoja, has posited that Nigeria’s survival depends on its youth and as such they should not be neglected.

Onoja made the remark in Makurdi at NeGYII’s model talk show to inspire and monitor youths in Makurdi community for productive living.

“The survival of Benue or Nigeria hinges on our youths, hence any attempt to neglect the youth or down play their issues is an attempt at selfsuicid­e for any nation,” he said.

The NeGYII president emphasised the need for issues and challenges bordering the youths to be brought to the front burner of the state or nation to enable them develop responsibl­e lives.

He also encourage the youths to be responsibl­e so that they can be entrusted with higher responsibi­lity, stressing the need for them to shun violence, drugs, and embrace peace to live out their dreams in order to attain greatness.

Onoja added that the event supported by CLEEN Foundation, was aimed at showcasing model of people who had found themselves in similar challenges as the youths currently faced with today yet went on to succeed and are now living productive lives.

A model speaker at the event, the Executive Director of Liquid Force, Dan Morgan Ihuoma, thrilled the audience as he relayed the story of his life from the doldrums of poverty to become successful in business and mentoring young people.
