Why I defiled under-aged girl,boy tells court

A teenager who was arrested for allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl on Friday told an Ogba Chief Magistrates Court that he was always having constant erection.

The accused, whose names were withheld, told the court that was why he decided to have sex with the underaged girl.

The boy also told the court that he always thought about sex and moved to try it out but did not know that he will be caught.

The prosecutor, Inspector Christopher Donny, told the court that the accused, at the station, admitted that he had carnal knowledge of the girl under the house staircase and that he was caught while in the act. He revealed that the matter was reported to the police; and that after which the accused was arrested and detained at the police station at Idimu.

He said that the case was later transferred to the Gender Section of the State Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos.

The police found him culpable despite his age and he was charged before Magistrates Court, Ogba for defiling a minor. He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Christopher Donny, did not oppose his being granted bail but asked court to adjourn the matter for hearing.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was sent to the remand centre pending when he will perfect his bail.
