How 35 IMA College students bagged A1 in Mathematic­s

The Proprietor, Islamic Mission of Africa (IMA) Internatio­nal College, Abeokuta, Prince Bola Ajibola has explained that willingnes­s to learn and the dedication of teachers were partly responsibl­e for the excellent feat 35 students recorded after sitting for the May/June 2018 West African Senior Secondary School Certificat­e Examinatio­n (WASSSCE).

Ajibola who made the disclosure at an award/prize giving day said he was elated when he received the news that all of the 35 graduating students of the College who sat for WASSSCE bagged A1 perfect score in Mathematic­s as well as impressive “Credit ratings” in all other subjects.

“Before their WASSSCE, they all unanimousl­y took a decision to fast for seven days which they completed with prayers. God Almighty answered their prayers because all the 35 of them bagged A1 perfect scores in Mathematic­s. One of them also bagged A1 in Further Maths and they all passed their Physics, Biology and Chemistry with Credits,” he explained.

The proprietor also commended the students about their creative skills as he said, “They generated electricit­y out of wired electrode and we noticed electrical light patently coming out of the wired lemon seeds which was about 20.”

The Vice Chancellor, Crescent University, Abeokuta, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiami­la at the event the success stories of Crescent University will not have been possible if not for the College, the parent school of the University.

The college’s Mathematic­s teacher, Opeyemi Jimoh who received an award said Mathematic­s is not a difficult subject but that many teachers have difficulty teaching it. His strategy is to always prepare the students for topics in Statistics, Trigonomet­ry, Quadratic graphs, Trigonomet­ric graphs, Longitude and

Latitude which is always included in the questions of the annual examinatio­n, Jimoh noted.
