Hajj: Saudi envoy tasks pilgrims on conducts

- By Abbas Jimoh

The Saudi Arabia Ambassador in Nigeria, Ustaz Adnan bin Mahmoud Bostaji, has urged pilgrims to this year’s hajj to be good ambassadors of their countries.

He gave the advice yesterday at the Saudi Arabia Attache’s office, during the send forth ceremony for Nigerians performing this year’s hajj exercise as Guests of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Alsaud.

The envoy said it is of essence of the special hajj pilgrimage to present a moderate Islamic methodology of performing the exercise and other Islamic rites.

“This is also to establish collaboration among Muslim elites around the globe, while meeting for hajj and other spiritual activities. This is a religious responsibility of the Saudi Arabia Government because all pilgrims are guests of Duyufil-Rahman (The entirely merciful - Allah). I congratulate you (the guests) that are performing this year’s hajj as the guest of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Alsaud,” Bostaji said.

He commended King Salman and the Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman, for their commitment to the welfare of Muslims during hajj and other endeavours globally.

The Cultural Attache of Saudi Arabia, Ustaz Abdurrahman Abdullah Alsaheed, said 30 Nigerians are among the 1,300 intending pilgrims that would perform this year’s hajj as Guest of the King.

He commended Ambassador Bostaji for his visit to the office since his appointment and resumption last month.
