Mentors Conference: Certificat­e can expire but the values of the person who acquired it can never expire – Ezekwesili

A former minister of education in Nigeria, Oby Ezekwesili has admonished young entreprene­urs to be steadfast in their chosen fields and not compromise on the values of integrity and accountabi­lity as it can outlast any certificat­e.

She made the admonition at the just concluded ‘Mentors Conference’ for over 50 selected entreprene­urs put together by Custodian Investment Plc last weekend at the Eko Hotel Convention centre.

She said “Being a person of value will give you sustainabl­e value. A person without value cannot be insured. You cannot take a risk on a person who is already a risk.

“Certificat­e can expire but the values of the person who acquired it can She added.

Wole Oshin, the founder and Group Managing Director of the Custodian Investment Group with interests in Life Insurance, in his address encouraged the entreprene­urs to evaluate what they are currently doing to add value to the society.

He said: “Many times we hear so many voices that we begin to detour, When you retreat, it means you are not caught-out for it. When you are committed, you don’t feel the pain.”
