Don’t replace Ondo PDP election result

-

The Ondo State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should not alter the primary election result of Ondo North Senatorial District which Olusegun Phillips Alonge won fair and square with 339 votes. The move is being orchestrated by Ondo State PDP Chairman, Clement Faboyede who has been compromised in the primary election with 280 votes to alter the already released and widely circulated result in his favour. The entire Akoko land and indeed all the concerned members of PDP in Ondo North Senatorial District would resist the ungodly alliance between Faboyede and Modupe if the satanic plan is eventually executed. Our group hereby calls on Saka Lawal who came third in the primary election with 94 votes to speak against the unbecoming moves of the duo of Clement Faboyede and Tokunbo Modupe. We also call on the PDP national leadership to as a matter of urgency prevent Faboyede from trading the victory of Olusegun Alonge for another aspirant. PDP at both state and national levels should not condone any act that is capable of making Nigerians lose confidence in the party and doubt its readiness to rule justly, fairly and with the fear of God. Therefore, Faboyede must be promptly restrained from setting the party backwards and sell its soul for a pot of porridge.

Pastor Olatunji Ogidan, President, Akoko Leadership Forum government to improve the business environment is commendable, greater effort should be directed at solving other issues that could undermine such gains. For instance, special attention should giving to electricity generation and distribution problem, reducing interest rate and exchange rate, fixing critical infrastructures, addressing security challenges and improving the economy among others. This will make more sense to the average business man or woman, such that it will not only be about climbing on the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index, but improving the economy, so the citizens or foreigners are able to register and do sustainable and profitable business in Nigeria.
