- By David Ngobua

The captain of Nasarawa United, Emmanuel Makama has said he is determined more than ever before to lead his side to another Aiteo Federation Cup final.

The ‘solid miners’ who are up against Enugu Rangers in this year’s Aiteo Cup semi-final today were runners up in the 2016 edition where they lost to FC IfeanyiUbah on penalties.

While Rangers eliminated defending champions 4-2 on penalties, Nasarawa United edged out El-Kanemi Warriors 1-0 in Aba to set up the potentially explosive semifinal.

The Nasarawa United captain in a telephone interview with Daily Trust said the ‘solid miners’ are ready to take on Rangers in the make or mar match.

He also said the match is going to be a very difficult one because both teams parade talented players.

Makama, however, tipped Nasarawa United to win the semi-final match at the Sani Abacha stadium Kano.

“We are in confident mood ahead of our semi-final clash with Enugu Rangers.

“It is not going to be an easy match but we are prepared to fight for the ticket to the final.

“As the captain of the team, I will do everything possible to motivate my team mates to give everything for us to win.

“Rangers will be hard nut to crack but we have played them several times in the league so we know what to expect and how to go about things,” he enthused.

He added that Nasarawa have their eyes on the remaining continental ticket.
