US, Kebbi sign $10m pact to support agribusine­ss

The United States African Developmen­t Foundation (USADF) and Kebbi State Government have signed a $10 million agreement to develop and expand local agricultur­al enterprise­s in the state.

The five-year agreement was signed by President and CEO of USADF, C.D. Glin Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

Kebbi State and USADF will contribute $5 million each over five years to provide seed capital and technical assistance to local agribusine­sses. It would also oversight through their local partner, Diamond Developmen­t Initiative (DDI).
