- By Ismail Mudashir

President Muhammadu Buhari met four PDP governors from the SouthSouth geopolitical zone at the State House, Abuja yesterday.

The meeting, which started around 2.50pm shortly after the President returned from Kaduna, lasted for about an hour, Daily Trust reports.

The governors at the meeting are Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta) and Nyesom Wike (Rivers).

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State, a PDP member, and his Edo counterpart Godwin Obaseki of the APC did not attend.

In a brief interview with State House reporters after the meeting, Governor Dickson said they discussed issues concerning their states with the president.

Dickson, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, said: “My colleagues and I came to have audience with the president to discuss issues pertinent to our country and also pertinent to our respective states.”

The governor said the meeting had nothing to do with either PDP or APC and declined to go into details.

Daily Trust learnt that the meeting discussed the recent ruling by the Supreme Court concerning oilproducing states, asking the Federal Government to adjust the shares of the revenue accruable to the federation whenever the price of crude oil exceeded $20 dollars per barrel.
