What changes?
This year’s event has been very exciting. Our brand promise, from year after year, will continue to be connecting businesses and creating value as you must have noticed in our marketing campaign for the past few months. So far, our exhibitors have been taking the advantage of
our automated website to register, pay and book for the space of their choices. The process has been designed to be seamless and friendly. Almost all the available spaces were booked. This, you can verify if you register on our website. Also, we have taken time to educate our exhibitors on how noise pollution is injurious to our health. There is also a ban on the use of public address systems and music gadgets. We have been enlightening our exhibitors on alternative ways of marketing, and we believe they will embrace it. So, this year, no exhibitor will be allowed to bring in musical instruments, and, if found, will be confiscated. A special team has been deployed to ensure compliance. Our central public address system is being made available to disseminate information and light music to make the environment welcoming. We have also established an LITF Radio for exhibitors who want to place adverts, either by spot announcement or jingles, during the Fair. In the same vein, exhibitors are displaying their wares in the sector they registered with in the portal. This was made clearer during the booking process. We believe this development will ensure orderliness and enhance the beauty and ambience of the Fair ground. We have created ‘Exhibitors Service Centre’ to be manned by professionals. This centre serves as a one-stop shop to attend to exhibitors to interact with our officials and have their matters sorted out in few minutes. For instance, an exhibition map is given out to exhibitors according to their sectors. Other materials to ease movement of our exhibitors are also being given out at this centre.
There are always complaints over parking space and security at TBS during the event. What are you doing to correct these?
We are stepping up our security apparatus this year. This is being achieved in collaboration with the Nigerian Police and its various arms. This is in addition to the engagement of a seasoned and welltested private security consultant overseeing and coordinating all security activities, and the deployment of a 24hour CCTV coverage of the entire fairground. On traffic management and other related logistics, we commend the Lagos State government for efforts towards improving the ease of movement around the TBS.
What have to improve supply to the ground?
you done electricity exhibition
There will be dedicated industrial power generating sets to complement public power supply. This will ensure uninterrupted power supply to all our exhibitors.
