Gov Al-Makura inaugurates APC guber candidate’s campaign council

Members of the APC in Nasarawa State have been enjoined to work for the victory of the party at all levels.

Gov. Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State gave the charge when he inaugurated the campaign team (AA Sule Campaign Council) of the state’s governorship flagbearer of the party, Abdullahi Sule, in Lafia on Saturday.

Gov. Al-Makura said, “I charge the aspirants in the just concluded primaries to deliver victory to the party in the 2019 governorship and other elections. As the leader of the party in Nasarawa State, I will ensure that everyone’s interest is served. I charge the campaign organ to work for the victory of the party.”

He said whatever success the party had attained was not the work of one person or a group of persons but a joint effort by the great family of APC in the state.

He thanked the 10 aspirants that contested the party’s governorship primary and called on all party members to appreciate and emulate them, saying it is to their credit that the party was enjoying peace in Nasarawa State after the primaries.

He added that the aspirants were members of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the council, which would be the highest decision making body of the campaign.

The state APC Chairman, Philip Tatari Shekwo, thanked the governor and other stakeholders for ensuring peace in the state chapter of the party.

The Director General of the AA Sule Campaign Council, Sen. Danboyi, assured all that the council would ensure victory for the party in the state and called on everyone to put aside their differences and put their strengths together for the victory of the APC in 2019.
