Recitation of the Holy Qur’an panacea to insecurity

The Chief Imam, Malam Sambo Dan-Ashafa Jumu’at Mosque, Gusau, Sheik Abdullahi Umar Dalla-Dalla, has said constant recitation­s of the Holy Qur’an by Muslim ummah is a panacea to the current waves of insecurity in the state and country.

Dalla-Dalla urged Muslims to embrace regular recitation of the holy Qur’an as means of praying to Almighty Allah to provide lasting solutions to the problems of banditry, cattle rustling and kidnapping ravaging the state.

The Islamic scholar made the call in Gusau while speaking at the Qur’anic graduation ceremony of Madarisatu­l Ittihadil Muslimina, Anguwar Gwaza Area.

He said there were a lot of benefits and blessings in the recitation and memorizati­on of the Holy Qur’an, hence the need for Muslims to inculcate the habit of constant recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

“Use the advantages of the blessings inherent in the recitation of the Holy Book to seek Allah’s interventi­ons to rescue us from the dwindling security challenges facing the state”, he said.

Dalla-Dalla commended the state government for introducin­g Civilian Task Force (JTF) to support security agencies in tackling the problems but however added that prayers the catalyst problems.

Earlier, school’s headteache­r, Malam Nuraddeen Abubukar said the ceremony was organized for 33 students who memorized the holy Qur’an.
