Daily Trust reports that results from Ekiti, Osun, Nasarawa, FCT, Gombe, Kogi, Abia, Yobe, Ondo, Kwara, Enugu and Ebonyi were announced on Monday, the first day of collation. Daily Trust learnt from credible sources that the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar may head to court to challenge the outcome of the presidential election.
Atiku and other officials of his campaign organisation and the PDP held marathon meeting yesterday to agree on a line of action.
“Many things were discussed at the meeting. Some suggested that the former vice president should go to court while others said he should concede defeat even as he considered the legal option. And he seems to be tilting towards seeking redress in court,” one of the sources said.
Already, the PDP had inaugurated a legal committee to collect evidence against the election.
It would be recalled that Buhari, Atiku and other presidential candidates had signed a peace accord, expected to bind them to the outcome of free, fair and credible elections.
