What Buhari’s re-election means to us – APC govs

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje yesterday described the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari as victory for Nigerian democracy.

In a congratula­tory message which he signed, Ganduje said Buhari’s re-election was the will of the people who were supporting his administra­tion’s change agenda that had brought about transforma­tion in all facets developmen­t in the country.

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong congratula­ted Buhari, saying his re-elections would usher in a prosperous Nigeria that would be a country of destinatio­n in the comity of nations.

In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mark Longyen, Lalong said the victory was not only well-deserved but long expected and God-ordained. He added: “Your re-election is no doubt, an eloquent statement of the people’s approval of your anti-corruption and anti-insurgency war.”

Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki said: “This four years of President Buhari’s leadership will provide the much-desired impetus for good governance, the ongoing war on corruption, completion of ongoing infrastruc­tural projects and boost our new image in the comity of nations.”

Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, in a statement by his spokesman, Abubakar Al-Sadique, described Buhari’s re-election as a vote of confidence on him.

Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, in a statement by his spokesman, Bolaji Tunji, described Buhari’s reelection as a referendum in support of integrity, good governance and the fight against corruption.
