‘Christian clerics who prophesised against Buhari’s re-election ate forbidden fruits’

- By Muideen Olaniyi

The national president of the United Christian Clerics for National Peace and national chairman of Arewa Pastors Non-Denominational Initiative for Peace, Bishop John Abu Richard, says his members who prophesised against President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election ate the forbidden fruit.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, he appealed to Buhari to use “his magnanimous heart as the father of the nation to forgive all our colleagues who ate the forbidden fruit and took sides with other political parties to use their sacred altars to prophesy in God’s name.”

He said it had been made clear by Buhari’s victory that “it was the god of money and to gain more fame that spoke through them, not the real God. God spoke through Nigerians on February 23rd 2019 that President Buhari is His chosen one to lead Nigeria to her promise land.”

He congratulated Buhari on his re-election and advised him to carry all Nigerians along “irrespective of the extra miles many of them went in quest for power that nearly set Nigeria on fire.”

He thanked God that Buhari was re-elected to complete the project of fighting corruption, restoring the economy and securing.

The cleric proposed a national thanksgiving and reconciliation programme to be held next month at International Conference Centre Abuja since God had, according to him, helped Nigeria to avert crisis during the election.
