Police nab 6 suspected robbers, drug dealer in Katsina

Six suspects have been arrested by the police in Katsina State for murder, armed robbery, kidnapping and dealing in hard drugs.

The command spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, in a statement, yesterday, said the command succeeded in arresting one Dauda Abdulkadir, 20 and Abdullahi Shu’aibu, 20, both of Unguwar Bako village, Sabuwa LGA of Katsina State, who conspired and attacked one Aminu Hamisu, 25, of Unguwar Doro village, Dandume LGA of Katsina State.

“The suspects, armed with dangerous weapons, attacked and killed the victim at Gamji Forest before they made away with his money, the sum of N100,000 and his motorcycle Boxer valued at N250,000,” he said.

The suspects sold the motorcycle in Abuja but nemesis caught up with them when the said motorcycle was recovered from one Tukur at Zuba, Abuja, Isah added.

“On February 17, 2019, after a gun duel, the command arrested one Mu’azu Lado, 35 and Haruna Lado, 30, both of Kankara LGA of Katsina State. They had earlier on February 11, 2019 at about 02:00hrs, invaded the houses of one Alh. Bello Barume and Dahiru Shabiri both of Santar Sharere village, Kankara LGA of Katsina State, raped three underage girls and robbed them of money and property valued over N200,000.

“In the course of investigation, suspects confessed to have committed the crime along with one Atiku Manu and Hamza Manu both ‘m’ of Kankara LGA of Katsina State (now at large)”, he said.

Isah added that one Shamsudeen Salisu alias “Dini Hunter, 25, of Sabuwar Unguwa Qrts Katsina was also arrested with 700 pieces of Exol-5 tablets, 501 pieces of D5 tablets.
