The management of Nigeria National League (NNL) has shifted the date for its draws for the 2019 league season and the Annual General Meeting, AGM billed to hold tomorrow to March 20, 2019.

In a statement signed by the head of media, Amar Ignis, the management explained that the postponement was to allow other clubs complete their registrations for 2019 league season.

“The 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and draw to commence the new football league season has been shifted by the management of Bet9ja Nigeria National League, NNL, following the inability of some clubs to register for the 2018-2019 season.

“The Management has deferred the AGM and draw by sixteen days, to now hold on Wednesday 20th March, 2019 at the earlier announced venue and time,” the statement reads.

Also the NNL Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Lawrence Katken said that any club that fail to register on or before Friday 15th of March, 2019 will be left out of the League, as only the registered clubs will be accommodated.

“This makes it practically impossible to go ahead with the AGM/Draw fixed for Wednesday 6th of this month.

“Since the official draw will be carried out, we do not want to work in assumption or speculation on the number of clubs that will participate in the new season.

“Clubs who are yet to register have therefore been mandated to do so, to enable the League move on and management to execute its proposed plans for the year,” he said.
