A former Senior Special Assistant on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Engr Baba Jibrin Adamu, has supported the reelection bid of Kaduna State Governor Nasir Elrufai.

In a statement yesterday, he said Elrufai had, in the last almost four years, epitomized leadership, courage, visionary and cutting-edge thinking.

“And like all great leaders it was his willingness to confront unequivocally the major anxiety of the people and not much else that was the essence of his leadership: addressing the issue of security and development head on, believing fully that in today’s knowledge economy, the main source of value and competitive advantage is in human and intellectual capital where the main ingredients are education, knowledge, innovation and creativity with utilization of information and communication technology.”

Adamu, who is the president of the Arewa Centre for Regional Economic Development, called on his members and the people of the state to vote El-rufai on Saturday.

He stated: “In leadership, it is the quality of thinking that gives an edge, an idea that opens new doors, a technique that solves a problem, an insight that inspires and simply helps make sense of it all, which brings a new constellation of planning, direction and tools of empowerment.

“Governor Malam Nasiru Ahmed El-Rufai has shown an exemplary standing in all these areas leading me to believe that my support, and indeed the support of all law abiding and good people of Kaduna State is best placed with him.”
