NPC trains 50 directorate cadre staff
The National Productivity Centre (NPC) has carried out a two-day sensitization training of 50 members of staff of the Federal Ministry of Environment who are in the directorate cadre.
The training which held from July 29 to 30, 2019, had as its theme: “Green Productivity and Environmental Protection for Sustainable Development.”
The Director General of NPC, Dr. Kashim Akor, while delivering his welcome address, urged the participants to see the training as an avenue to acquire necessary skills for effective service delivery.
Dr. Akor said: “This two-day training is part of the many capacity building programmes and activities fashioned out by the centre to equip participants with in-depth knowledge that will stimulate you and your ministry in achieving improved productivity, high performance and effective service delivery.”
He said the goal of the training was to expose participants to environment management and developmental challenges through productivity improvement that would aid the enhancement of environmental protection and productivity at large.
He said for the participants to attain world class best practices, there was need for them to “understand the strategies and techniques for environmental management.”
The Director of Environmental Assessment, Federal Ministry of Environment, Mr. John Alonge, said the training would help in mitigating lapses.
