FCT-UBEB trains 120 teachers
About 120 teachers have been trained by the Federal Capital Territory Universal Basic Education Board (FCTUBEB).
The teachers were trained under the Nigeria-Korea Model School Project in partnership with the Republic of Korea.
At the opening ceremony of the two-week training, the Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Nigeria, Major General In-Tae Lee (Rtd) emphasized that since the establishment of diplomatic ties in the 1980s, the partnership between Korea and Nigeria had continued to foster strong.
He said strong measures needed to be taken to build the system in order to serve as a reliable and efficient by training teachers on multimedia education that will be very useful to attract students’ attention and increase education performance in the digital future of Nigeria.
He went further to state that Nigeria-Korea Model School project started in 2013 after an agreement was reached between both countries. The school started in September 2018.
He said the entire project would be completed in August 2019.
The Director FCT-UBEB, Dr. Adamu Jatau Noma applauded the Republic of Korea for their good gesture in choosing Nigeria and Federal Capital Territory in particular for the edifice and educational project.
He urged the teachers to be up and doing during the training as examinations will be conducted after the exercise so as to ascertain if they have really learnt.
The principal Korea-Nigeria Model Schools, Mrs. Mbanefo Pamela stated that the Training came at the right time and its essence is to bring out the best from Teachers in FCT.
