Ex- Super Eagles player, Iorfa appointed NANPF consultant
A former international, Dominic Iorfa has been appointed as consultant to the National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers, NANPF.
The appointment was announced by the president of the players union, Tijanni Babangida who said the decision to appoint the former Queens Park Rangers striker was due to the urgent need to revitalize and move the association to the next level.
“I am glad to announce the approval of your appointment as consultant to our great union.
” Your appointment is based on your pedigree, as an astute football administrator with a deep working knowledge both on the technical and business aspect of the game.
” As consultant to the union, you will be required to provide consultation on content, logistics, marketing, as well as other variables on behalf of the union,” the appointment letter reads in part.
Reacting to his appointment, Iorfa a former BCC Lions and Ranchers Bees player said he is ready to serve the association to the best of his abilities.
“Those who are close to me know that I always give my best whenever I am appointed to serve. I will do my best to help my colleagues reinvigorate this association.
“I will contribute my quota to ensure that we have a more vibrant association. I will make judicious use of my local and international connections to mobilise resources for the good of our members both active and retired.
“I am aware that some of our senior colleagues like ‘Chairman’ Christian Chukwu, Kadiri Ikhana and a host of others are battling with different ailments. We need to come to their aid.
“Those who are close to me will attest to the fact that I am always very passionate about everything that is positive. So with the cooperation of every member of this association, I will impact positively on the NANPF,” he pledged.
