The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod has decried stringent conditions being given by some corporate organisation before they would bankroll activities of volleyball in Nigeria.

Nimrod made this known in a chat during the Match Day 5 of the ongoing National Premier volleyball League at the Package ‘B’ of the MKO Abiola National Stadium.

“We are looking for corporate sponsors who should see this league as a product. We have achieved internationally and nationally.

“We want to see corporate organisation without any condition to come in. I am saying it again, without any condition.

“They should come in and meet the league management committee. Next year, we should have a sponsor. The door is open,” he said.

Speaking further, Nimrod acknowledged that he is yet to meet with a sponsor, he has met with reputable marketing companies.

“I have not seen any, only marketing companies who want to be sole marketer and we can’t accept that.

“If you are good marketer, come and get us as we are a good business. But for a marketing company to come in and wants sole responsibility, we will not want to see that,” he said.

Nimrod also expressed his satisfaction with the concerted efforts of the league management company at developing the game.

“Seriously, I am satisfied with members of the league management committee who have been doing their best at this level and I am impressed. You can never get it 100% but when you get 85%, then I am satisfied,” he concluded.
