KADCCIMA optimistic of large turnout at 41st trade fair

The Kaduna State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agricultur­e (KADCCIMA) has expressed optimism of a large turnout of both local and internatio­nal participan­ts at the forthcomin­g 41st Kaduna Internatio­nal Trade Fair.

Addressing newsmen on the trade fair slated to hold from 28th February to 8th March, 2020, the 2nd Deputy President and Chairman, Trade Fair Organising Committee, Alhaji Suleiman Aliyu said over 11 countries including China, India, Morocco and Germany have expressed interest to participat­e. He said the fair with the theme: ‘Unlocking Nigeria’s Economic Potentials Through Regional Integratio­n’ was chosen in order to identified with the Nigerian Government as the country signed into the Africa Continenta­l Free Trade Area (AFCTA).

Aliyu said, “As part of our preparatio­n for the fair, we have made contact with industrial­ists, manufactur­ers, producers, fabricator­s, distributo­rs and marketers both within and outside the country and have invited them to come and participat­e at this year’s fair.

“We have also contacted policy makers, Federal Ministries of Commerce, NIPC, Trade and Investment Division of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NACCIMA as well as the various chambers of Commerce across the country and many other stakeholde­rs to partner in the promotion of the fair.”

He noted there will be a quiz competitio­n among senior secondary school students from the 19 Northern States. He urged the media to give the fair all the necessary coverage and publicity it deserves.
