A 20-year-old lady has narrated how she was gang raped by four men who forcefully abducted her to an uncompleted building.

Niger Delta Trust learnt that the incident happened on January 1, along Ikponmwose street, off Adolor road, near Benin, Egor local government area of Edo state.

Speaking with our reporter on her ordeal after two of the suspects were arraigned in court, the victim who craved anonymity, said the incident happened around 8 p.m. on the fateful day when she and her friend were going home from an event.

“We were going home when one of the suspects hit me with Keke Napep. As we were asking why he did that, four other boys came out threatening to slapped us.

“When I asked what was my offence one of them slap me asking why was I talking to them.”

She said as the argument was ongoing, one of the boys broke a bottle and threatened to stab one of the girls who called her sister.

“My friend came and said I should go home while she took her sister home. As I left, I didn’t know that they were following me. They grabbed me from behind and covered my mouth and pushed me into a waiting Keke Napep and took me to uncompleted building where they raped me.

“They told me that they wanted to teach me a lesson for talking to them. One of them pleaded that they shouldn’t rape me but they threatened to kill him and he stayed away while the four others raped me to their satisfaction.”

“It was when we got to the place they raped me that I discovered that the tricycle rider, who hit us, was their member,”

According to her, after raping her, they seized her phone and took her to a junction and abandoned her there.

“I then begged somebody who used his phone to call my friend to come and take me home. I was surprised the following day someone called my second phone saying that whatever I spent for treatment I should send the amount to the number he used to call me and that they will pay the bill,”

She said they went to the police station and reported the matter, adding that she recognised the tricycle rider who took them to where she was raped after he was arrested by the police.

“It was a terrible experience, I don’t pray for my enemy to undergo such. The incident is still hurting me and I want them to be punished for what they did to me,” she said.

Meanwhile, two of the suspects, Chigozie Enuma 25, and Issac Agbontaen 32, have been remanded at the Oko Correctional Centre, Benin by an Egor Magistrate’s Court when they were arraigned over the matter.
