- By Olusola ‘Jide

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare has urged the Nigeria Football Federation to move into the Sunday Dankaro House without further delay.

He made this known yesterday when he paid a visit to the ‘Sunday Dankaro house’ situated at the Package B of the MKO Abiola National stadium, Abuja.

Speaking during the visit, Dare expressed satisfaction with the building and said the visit was important for him to have a firsthand assessment of what was going on there.

“It is a working visit for me, my first time of inspecting Sunday Dankaro building and I feel it is important to see what is going on with the building.

“This is a befitting building, I am impressed with what I have seen so far, this building should be functional in two weeks and it is a befitting structure for Nigeria’s football.

“The building is long overdue and that is why the Sunday Dankaro House must be put in place so that the Moshood Abiola Stadium will be busy once again”, the Minister added.

It will be recalled the Executive Committee of Nigeria Football Federation last year appointed a 5-man team to keenly monitor the final stages of work being carried out by the contractors on the building.

The members of the

Committee are Barr Seyi Akinwunmi (Chairman), Ibrahim Musa Gusau (Member), Aisha Falode (Member), Mohammed Alkali (Member), Ademola Olajire (Secretary).

It will also be recalled that the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick few weeks ago said plans were in place to move to the Sunday Dankaro House this month.
