Wife of Bauchi governor empowers 100 women in Toro

Wife of the Bauchi State Governor Hajiya Aishatu Bala Muhammad supported 100 women with empowermen­t tools to start their individual business in Toro local government area of the state.

Speaking during the presentati­on of the tools in Toro the first lady, Hajiya A’isha, said the gesture was part of her efforts to improve the living condition of women in the state.

Hajiya A’isha promised to continue to provide skills and materials for women in the state towards making them self-reliant to better their livelihood.

Earlier in her remark, the Commission­er for Women Affairs and Child Developmen­t, Hajiya Hajara Jibrin Gidado explained that the materials would significan­tly assist the beneficiar­ies in improving their living conditions.

The commission­er counseled beneficiar­ies against selling the items and assist in curbing hawking by girls.

One of the beneficiar­ies of the skill materials distributi­on, Malama Asmau Muhammad, thanked Hajiya Aisha for the gesture and assured her of making the best use of materials given to them.
