Wife of Bauchi gov­er­nor em­pow­ers 100 women in Toro

Wife of the Bauchi State Gov­er­nor Ha­jiya Aishatu Bala Muham­mad sup­ported 100 women with em­pow­er­ment tools to start their in­di­vid­ual busi­ness in Toro lo­cal gov­ern­ment area of the state.

Speak­ing dur­ing the pre­sen­ta­tion of the tools in Toro the first lady, Ha­jiya A’isha, said the ges­ture was part of her ef­forts to im­prove the liv­ing con­di­tion of women in the state.

Ha­jiya A’isha promised to con­tinue to pro­vide skills and ma­te­ri­als for women in the state to­wards mak­ing them self-re­liant to bet­ter their liveli­hood.

Ear­lier in her re­mark, the Com­mis­sioner for Women Af­fairs and Child De­vel­op­ment, Ha­jiya Ha­jara Jib­rin Gi­dado ex­plained that the ma­te­ri­als would sig­nif­i­cantly as­sist the ben­e­fi­cia­ries in im­prov­ing their liv­ing con­di­tions.

The com­mis­sioner coun­seled ben­e­fi­cia­ries against sell­ing the items and as­sist in curb­ing hawk­ing by girls.

One of the ben­e­fi­cia­ries of the skill ma­te­ri­als dis­tri­bu­tion, Malama As­mau Muham­mad, thanked Ha­jiya Aisha for the ges­ture and as­sured her of mak­ing the best use of ma­te­ri­als given to them.
