Banditry now our major concern – FG

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, says the growing influence of armed bandits in the North West of Nigeria is now a major concern and challenge to the Federal Government.

A statement by Mohammed Manga, the Director (Press & Public Relations) in the ministry, said Aregbesola said this at a town hall meeting with stakeholders on matters of internal security and conflict resolution in Katsina, Katsina State yesterday.

He assured that the total, brutal and ferocious might of the Federal Government would soon be brought on them.

“The Nigerian security machine will be unleased in its fury,” he said.
