- By Idowu Isamotu

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday blamed the challenges facing auto dealers in Abuja on thelockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Director-General of the Chamber, Victoria Akai, at a joint press briefing, weekend, with the National President of the Association of Motor Dealers Of Nigeria, Prince Ajibola Adedoyin, and CEO of Western Atlantic, Ade Akinfolurin, also announced the postponement of the launching of 2020 Abuja Auto Show.

Akai said when the lockdown was relaxed, most imported vehicles were no longer functioning as their batteries packed up, adding that many auto dealers had to face the problem of replacing the batteries or repair.

She said the show, earlier scheduled to commence on Saturday October 17, had been postponed to November 11 and would take place on the second week of every month between Wednesdays and Fridays.
