Kaduna fertilizer distributo­r wins SUV as 3 others get N11.5m

A fertilizer distributo­r from Makarfi LGA of Kaduna State, Malam Nura Makarfi, has emerged overall grand prize winner of Golden Fertilizer’s Lexus 480 SUV.

Golden Fertilizer Company Limited establishe­d in 1997 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria PLC (FMN) is a fertilizer blending and distributi­on company in Nigeria.

The Company provides an array of blended NPK variants, special blends as well as participat­es in the Federal Government’s Presidenti­al Fertilizer Initiative, which provides fertilizer­s to farmers at subsidized rate.

As a reward for his hard work, commitment and loyalty, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Flour Mills Nigeria, Engineer Paul M. Gbededo presented the key to the Lexus 480 SUV to Nura Makarfi at the year 2020 Golden Fertilizer Customer Forum, which held in Lagos.

Other fertilizer distributo­rs from the North that won huge sums are: Malam Bello Ladan Kuch from Sokoto who was rewarded with N5m prize; Malam Salisu Abdullahi from Niger won N4m while Sadiku Shehu Gombe from Gombe state got N2.5m.

Also, Mathson Nigeria Ltd from Benue state got a reward of N700,000 while S.N Ikejiani from Niger state, Weke Farm Nigeria from Ebonyi state and Victor Nwanunu from Abia state got N500,000 each.

The grand prize winner, Makarfi attributed his emergence to hard work, saying that he is an all year round distributo­r of fertilizer.

Earlier in his remark, the GM/ CEO of FMN, Engr. Gbededo noted that Golden Fertilizer had since year 2000 carved a niche in the market that is unmatched and remains unrivalled by any other fertilizer brand in Nigeria.
