Nasarawa partners PAN, Keystone Bank, to revive own transport company

The Nasarawa State Government is partnering with the Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN), as well as the Keystone Bank, in a bid to revive the now rested Nasarawa Transport Service.

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, announced this while hosting a delegation from PAN and Keystone Bank, led by the Chairman of Pan, Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, at the Government House.

According to the Governor, administra­tion will partner with his the two organizati­ons because Nasarawa State without a transport company is handicappe­d.

To this end, Engineer Sule directed the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu, to constitute a committee comprising officials from the state Ministry of Works and the Managing Director of the Nasarawa State Investment Company, Barrister Ibrahim Abdullahi, alongside some members of his team, which will liaise with the partners for the project to commence immediatel­y.

“I believe these kinds of things cannot wait because they are for the good of the state,” he stated.

Engineer Sule promised to reserve a space for the transport company at the two new mega bus terminals being constructe­d in Karu and Lafia.

Earlier, leader of the delegation and Chairman of PAN, Hon Wadada, expressed willingnes­s of the team to support the state government resuscitat­e the state transport company, towards making life easier, convenient and cheap for its citizens
