The Lagos State Police Command yesterday said justice would be done to the case of a mother of three who was stabbed to death Saturday morning at Oduntan area of Ketu.

Some hoodlums had stabbed Oluwakemi Odugbesan, 41, while reportedly trying to rob her of her phone and handbag.

The victim, it was learnt, was attacked while returning home from a vigil around 6am.

The incident occurred a few meters away from Oduntan Gate where she lived.

A witness told our correspondent that the woman was slaughtered in pieces and people had to use a wheelbarrow to convey her dismembered body to the hospital.

It was learnt that she died before being rushed to Azir Hospital along the Oduntan Street.

The victim, said to be the first of her parent’s five children, was stabbed on the day of her husband’s birthday.

It was further learnt that the couple had planned to relocate to Canada next one week.

Another eyewitness said victim’s mother collapsed when she heard about the murder of her daughter and was still being stabilized in the hospital as of the time of filing this report.
