Late Hajiya A’i was said to have never held any position, whether elective or appointed and had lived a low profile life.

She was the second of three daughters of the late premier.

A relative of the deceased, Isa Maude, described her as a pillar of their family.

“We really lost a pillar. A great wall has fallen,” he said.

She was survived by five children and a younger sister who is the last daughter of the late premier and wife of late Umaru Aliyu Shinkafi.

Among her children is the Magajin Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, and the wife of Shehu Malami, Sarkin Sudan.
