Man ‘rapes’ three daughters, neighbour's niece in Ogun
Operatives of Ogun Police Command have arrested a 52-year-old man, Kayode Adeniyi, for allegedly raping his three daughters and his neighbour’s 10-year-old niece.
The suspect who resides at 12, Abere-Ifa Street, Ijoko, in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State was arrested following a report to the police by his neighbour.
The suspect was also reported to have sexually abused his three under-aged biological daughters before he was arrested for raping 10-yearold girl.
The spokesman for the Police Command, Abimbola
Oyeyemi, told newsmen in Abeokuta on Tuesday that Adeniyi was arrested, following a report lodged at Agbado divisional headquarters by the aunt of the victim.
He quoted the complainant as saying that her niece went to the apartment of the suspect to ask for certain clothes mistakenly removed from the rope in the neighborhood.
According to him, the suspect in the process forcefully dragged her into the room, covered her mouth with a pillow and had sexual intercourse with her.
“On interrogation, the suspect confessed having carnal knowledge of the victim forcefully, he also admitted that he threatened the victim with a knife and that is why she couldn’t make noise until he satisfied his sexual urge,” Oyeyemi said.
The police spokesman explained that further investigation into the past activities of the suspect revealed that “he had sexually abused his three under-aged biological daughters which he also did not deny.”
Oyeyemi disclosed that the victim had been taken to the hospital for medical examination and treatment.
He added that the Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has ordered the family support unit of Sango Area Command to take over the case for in-depth investigation and diligent prosecution.
