‘Expect more development projects’, as Gov Sule flags off re-election campaign in Toto

-

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has assured the people of the state to expect more development projects in the next four years, if he is re-elected for a second term in office.

Engineer Sule gave the assurance while flagging off his campaign for the 2023 general election in Toto, headquarters of Toto Local Government Area, on Monday.

While appreciating the people of the area for their continious support for his administration, the Governor noted that all the development projects initiated by his administration particularly in Toto Local Government Area, are visible for all to see.

“All the development projects initiated by this administratiin in Toto Local Government Area are visible to all. Even today, there’s an ongoing medical outreach to bring health to the people, a training has commenced for 2000 women and youths across the state, with that of Toto starting today.

“We have seen various ongoing projects including roads, schools, education and health,” he stated.

Engjneer Sule said he is in Toto to thank the people and appreciate them for their support.

“We are here therefore, to appreciate you because of events that took place yesterday, are taking today and will take place tomorrow,” he said.

He used the opportunity of the event to call on the people of the area to continue to support the APC which has restored peace in the area.

The Governor equally called on the people not to pay attention to seasonal politicians who will only approach them during election to make empty promises to the people which they never fulfil.

He assured the people that, like he promised in 2019, if elected, the speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, will come from Toto Local Government Area, urging them to continue to support their son, the present Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon Balarabe Ibrahim Abdullahi.

“In sha Allah, your son will be the beneficiary of the number three citizen of the state, the next speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly. The work the speaker is doing for you, in Lafia is more than the work any person will come and say he will do for you. That is the reason why you should continue to give maximum support to the speaker,” he stated.

The Givernor further appreciated the people for the cooperation his administration continue to receive.

“I want to use the opportunity to thank all our major stakeholders who have continued to give maximum support to this political party. I want to thank the youth, I want to thank the women and I want to assure you that, by the grace of God, whatever we have done before, we will do even more in the next four years,” Engineer Sule stated.

In a goodwill message, first civilian governor of the state and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, called on the people of Toto Local Government Area, to vote candidates of the APC from top to bottom Senator Adamu said the APC is proud of its achievements across Nasarawa State and particularly in Toto Local Government.

He said however, the greatest achievements recorded in Toto by the Engineer Sule administration, is restoration of peace in the area, without which no development will take place.

Senator Adamu urged the people not to be distracted by opposition political parties who may want to confuse them, by picking their governorship running mates from Toto. He called on them not to waste their votes as the APC will clear all the elections.

Also, in his goodwill message, immediate past governor of the state, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura, pointed out that Toto was selected as venue to flag off the reelection campaign of Engineer A. A. Sule because of the role the people of the area has continued to play since the creation of the APC.

Senator Al-makura urged the people to get ready with their PVC in order to vote for the candidates of the APC from top to bottom come February next year.

Similarly, both state APC Chairman, John Mamman and Chairman, Engr Sule/Dr. Akabe Campaign Council, Senator Abubakar Sandangi, urged the people of the area and the state to support the reelection bid of Engineer Sule come 2023.

They also called on the people of the area and the state to vote Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate because of his pedigree and competence, as well as other APC candidates in 2023 general election.
