2000 youths converge on Jigawa for Buhari
Over 2000 youths from five northern states yesterday converged on Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, in support of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
The youths from Gombe, Yobe, Kano, Bauchi and Jigawa states, marched from Kiyawa road through the Government House to abattoir road, where the Buhari campaign office is located.
Addressing the youths, Zubairu Aminu Jahun aka Abu Akhnass, secretary of Buhariyya Akida, the movement under which the procession was organized, said the restoration of peace in NorthEast and President Buhari’s efforts at tackling corruption were commendable.
He called for support for the policies and programmes of the present administration, saying, “with the progress made so far, youths are at peace because the future looks promising.”
At the Jigawa State Government House, the governor, who was represented by his Commissioner for Information, Bala Ibrahim, thanked the youths for throwing their weight behind the present administration.
He added that their massage of support would be communicated to the president through the governor.
