Varsity offers 7 First-Class graduands jobs
Seven graduands of the Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State who obtained First-Class degrees have been offered automatic employment. The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Alhassan Muhammad Gani, stated this yesterday at its 2nd convocation.
He said out of the 309 graduands, seven obtained First-Class degrees, 114 Second Class Upper, 144 had Second Class Lower, 43 graduated with Third and one student got a Pass degree.
The vice chancellor said that since its establishment in 2011, the university has sponsored 168 academic staff to obtain higher degrees, both within and outside the country.
President Muhammadu Buhari, represented by Dr Rukayya Abdulkarim, a Director with the National Universities Commission, (NUC), directed the Federal Ministry of Education and universities to take the issue of corruption seriously by showcasing transparency.
