Varsity offers 7 First-Class graduands jobs

Seven graduands of the Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State who obtained First-Class degrees have been offered automatic employment. The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Alhassan Muhammad Gani, stated this yesterday at its 2nd convocatio­n.

He said out of the 309 graduands, seven obtained First-Class degrees, 114 Second Class Upper, 144 had Second Class Lower, 43 graduated with Third and one student got a Pass degree.

The vice chancellor said that since its establishm­ent in 2011, the university has sponsored 168 academic staff to obtain higher degrees, both within and outside the country.

President Muhammadu Buhari, represente­d by Dr Rukayya Abdulkarim, a Director with the National Universiti­es Commission, (NUC), directed the Federal Ministry of Education and universiti­es to take the issue of corruption seriously by showcasing transparen­cy.
