NDE trains 4570 Katsina youths
The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Katsina State has commenced the training of 4570 youths on small scale businesses.
Our correspondent reports that the youths are taking training in cosmology, auto mechanics, welding, phone and computer repairs and carpentry.
Speaking at the flag-off of the exercise, the state coordinator of NDE, Abdulkarim Sirika, said the trainees are part of a new drive of the directorate aimed at creating 74,000 small scale businesses that will help to improve the nation’s economy.
He said the national program was recently launched and that each state has taken up the task of ensuring that the objective is achieved.
“The NDE is committed to employment creation through skills acquisition which offers a realistic and sustainable option for the nation in its drive to reduce unemployment across the country”, he added.
